The Fundy Park StarGaze is held at Fundy National Park, New Brunswick, along the Bay of Fundy.

Fundy Park StarGaze 2023 has been postponed due to inclement weather.

New tentative dates for the StarGaze are Sept. 15th or Oct.6th 2023

Above~ photo of the Milky Way taken by Mike Powell at the 2021 Fundy StarGaze. Reports were that the Milky Way was casting a shadow. This was at Herring Cove, observing site for the 2021 event.

Come learn about the wonders of the night sky you’ll be seeing through the telescopes.

9 PM to 12 AM – Night sky viewing with telescopes
(weather permitting)
Come look through our telescopes and enjoy the views.

Saturday, September 9

1 PM to 3 PM – Solar observing
(weather permitting)
Come take a close look at our nearest star, the sun, through our specially-filtered telescopes.

1 PM to 3 PM – Telescope and astrophotography clinic
Bring your telescope for a free set and tuning.
Learn about astrophotography.

8 PM to 9 PM – “What’s Up?” slideshow presentation

9 PM to 12 PM – Night sky viewing with telescopes
(weather permitting)
Come look through our telescopes and enjoy the views.

How to attend:

If you do not have a telescope~ Just show up, or book your camping weekend if you want to be at the campground during the Stargaze. Construction and improvements are ongoing at the Park. There is no fee to attend the event other than camping or park entry fees.

If you do have a telescope~ Campsite reservations for volunteers in the astronomers’ area will be posted on RASC NB Fundy Park Stargaze when available..
