The things you see almost every night– the Moon, stars, and Milky Way, are well within the reach of your camera, regardless your level of expertise. Besides the techniques you might use, we will also give an overview of some of the equipment you might need–cameras, telescopes, lenses, mounts, etc., the differences between them and how to use them.

Finally, we will put it all together with a focus on getting what is right for you and getting the most out of the equipment you may already have.

There will also be guest speakers discussing particular fields of interest, and night sky observing during the break or after each session–skies permitting.

This course will run every Tuesday night in November, 6:30 – 9 PM at the Rockwood Park Interpretation Centre. The course is Free, but we do ask that you register as seating is limited.

Registration: This course is now closed. If you have any questions about anything you see please contact Paul Owen.

  1. Attending Nov. 21 – Choosing the Right Equipment. Just back from a vacation abroad – looking forward to Tuesday’s presentation. Will bring my husband too. If there is still room: Gaye Kapkin and Richard Gradon. Thank you SJAC!
